The idea to create a butterfly design has been circulating for years now. More recently I woke up one morning and monarch butterflies were right there presenting themselves as an inspiration, and I knew it was time for a butterfly design to come to fruition. Like the honey bees, the butterflies are friendly and beautiful pollinators on the farm. Dashing from flower to flower in the garden in spring and summer, always a joy for all to see. There is such a wide variety of butterflies in this beautiful area of Trinity County. We chose to illustrate the Monarch with its vibrance and strength of color and contrast. The monarch’s remarkable resiliency, migrating thousands of miles through changing climates and landscapes, adds to its symbolism of transformation and endurance. We hope we were able to bring it to life as much as possible with this design and we hope you continue to spread the joy of the monarch as you wear this design.
